- What is a Blip?
A Blip is an online comment that will eventually go away. When you add a comment to BlipNut it will eventually be erased off our servers along with any related responses.
- Is BlipNut a virus or some other malicious software?
No.
- Are you sure BlipNut isn't a virus or other malicious software?
Yes, we are sure. We have no interest in hurting or infecting your computer
- When will it go away?
It varies depending on the popularity of the page. For busy pages with frequently updated content Blips may only last a few days. For less popular pages Blips may last for months.
- Why will you delete my comments?
Because it's a Blip, not a Blog. A Blip gives you the freedom to say whatever you want, but life must move on so we give your comment time to be enjoyed by others and then delete it.
- It BlipNut really anonymous?
Yes. Completely. We do not track anything that would allow us to identify you or your computer.
- Why did you create BlipNut?
We created BlipNut to give the world a way to add anonymous, un-moderated comments to any web site. The comments appear in the BlipNut window pane so you don't have to go searching for them.
- Who uses BlipNut?
Lots of people. We can't name names because it's anonymous.
- What does RSS mean?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it allows people who use RSS readers to "subscribe" to a Blip and keep track of new comments in one place. Many web browsers, such as Firefox and Internet Explorer 7, have RSS readers built right in.
- What do you do with my name and my friends name and email when I use your refer feature?
We use the information you provide to send a referral email then we delete it. We do not share it with anyone else and we don't save a copy for ourselves. It's all deleted.
- What does the [refresh] button do?
If the Blips for your current page do not load right away it you can click it.
- What is the origin of your logo?
The BlipNut logo was created before the World Wide Web even existed. It was inspired by graffiti that appeared during the late 1980s in New York City.
